  • 6 peer review
  • 36 incontri con i gruppi di stakeholder regionali
  • analisi di almeno 8 buone pratiche
  • formazione e potenziamento professionale per oltre 200 persone
SOCORE è cofinanziato dal programma Interreg Europe.

SOCORE – Skills for Innovation in Research Infrastructures

People are at the heart of the innovation process. Their social, technical, creative, and entrepreneurial skills are key drivers of innovation and of the ability to translate it into impact. In our regions, we have identified a gap between research, businesses, and organizations, particularly in terms of the social skills needed for Research and Innovation Infrastructures (RII). Even the best infrastructures and EU funding cannot be fully exploited without investment in human capital. Skills are a “critical infrastructure” for innovation. Furthermore, the strong focus on technological innovation often overlooks essential competencies for social innovation, which are equally necessary to address economic, social, and environmental challenges. The project partners aim to focus on skills such as interpersonal abilities, open-mindedness, international proficiency, entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, and management capabilities. These are the competencies outlined in the policy brief Skills for Innovation. The strategic objective of SOCORE is to create an environment that supports the development of critical skills within research and innovation infrastructures. Partners will work together to improve RII outcomes in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), responding to regional needs through an open, co-creative, demand-driven, and user-centred innovation approach to tackle local challenges.
The project will include:

  • 6 policy learning events
  • 6 study visits alongside 6 interregional thematic workshops
  • 6 peer reviews
  • 36 regional stakeholder group meetings
SOCORE is co-funded by Interreg Europe Program.
